Commercial & light industrial

Workshops and warehouses, kept running

Mechanical workshops, panel shops and light industrial. Three-phase machinery, hoists, compressors, lighting and the maintenance that stops the breakdown happening in the first place.

What we do on site

The work that keeps a workshop open

We're not chasing retail fit-outs or high-rise strata. This is machinery, power and lighting for businesses that make or fix things.

Three-phase machinery

New circuits and outlets for lathes, presses, welders and plant. Correctly rated protection, isolation within reach, and cable sized for the actual load.

Hoists and compressors

Two-post and four-post hoists, compressor circuits, emergency stops and isolators. Installed, connected, commissioned and certified.

Lighting upgrades

High-bay and LED replacements that cut the bill and let people actually see what they're working on. Usually the fastest payback on the site.

Switchboards & distribution

Main switchboards, subboards, and capacity for the next machine. Labelled so the next person doesn't have to guess.

Test and tag, RCD testing

Scheduled testing with a register that satisfies an auditor or insurer. Booked in so you're not scrambling when it's due.

Breakdowns

Something's stopped and nobody's earning. Fault traced, fixed if we can on the spot, and honest about it if a part's needed.

Food processing & production lines

Plant that has to run tomorrow morning

Conveyors, graders, washers and the gear that drives them. Wet floors, constant washdown and a production schedule that doesn't care when a motor lets go.

Isolation you can actually reach

A local isolator at the machine, labelled to the circuit it kills, is the difference between a five-minute clean-out and someone walking back to the switchboard guessing. It's also what an auditor looks for first.

Motors and drives

Gearmotors, conveyor drives and VSDs — swapped out, wired, rotation checked and run up before we leave. Washdown kills terminal boxes and glands long before it kills the motor, so we replace what's gone rather than re-landing wires into a corroded box.

How we work with businesses

Built around your downtime, not ours

Commercial work has a cost every hour the site isn't running. We price and schedule with that in mind.

  • After-hours and weekends where the work would stop production
  • Breakdowns jump the queue — quoted work can wait, a stopped machine can't
  • One point of contact — the person who quoted it does it
  • Account terms available for regular maintenance clients
  • Documentation that stands up — certificates, test registers, board schedules
  • Scheduled maintenance so the next breakdown doesn't happen

Who we're a good fit for

  • Mechanical workshops and service centres
  • Panel and paint shops
  • Fabrication and light manufacturing
  • Warehouses and storage facilities
  • Trade and equipment hire businesses
  • Small industrial estate tenancies

Running a fleet or putting chargers in for staff and customers? Commercial EV charging is the same conversation — load assessment first, hardware second.

How it works

Site visit and fixed price

We look at the board and the load, then quote properly. Scheduled around your operating hours.

Done, tested, documented

Certificate of Electrical Safety, updated board schedule, and a test register if it applies.

Questions we get asked

Do you do after-hours work?

Where the job would otherwise stop production, yes. Changeovers, board work and machinery circuits can be scheduled outside operating hours by arrangement. It costs more per hour and usually less overall.

Can you connect imported machinery?

Usually. Imported plant often arrives wired for a different supply voltage or frequency, or without isolation that meets Australian requirements. We assess it, sort the connection and isolation properly, and certify the installation work — the machine's own internals remain the manufacturer's responsibility.

Do you do test and tag?

Yes, along with RCD testing and scheduled maintenance, with a register you can hand straight to an auditor or insurer. We'll set the interval based on your environment rather than defaulting to the shortest one.

How quickly can you get to a breakdown?

In the core area — Pakenham, Officer, Beaconsfield, Berwick, Narre Warren, Cardinia — usually same day. Breakdowns take priority over quoted work, because a stopped site is costing you more than the call-out.

Do you offer account terms?

For regular maintenance clients, yes. Ring and we'll sort it out rather than making you fill in a form for a one-off job.

Will an LED lighting upgrade actually save money?

In a workshop running long hours on old high-bay fittings, usually yes, and often the payback is short enough to be obvious. We'll count the fittings, work out the running hours and show you the numbers before you commit rather than quoting a percentage off a brochure.
